Türkiye to Bali Without a Visa: New Policy Opens Doors for More Travel in 2025

Beginning July 3, 2025, Turkish nationals may travel to Bali visa-free for a maximum of 30 days. This visa-free policy replaces the current visa-on-arrival policy and is a significant step towards boosting tourism cooperation between Türkiye and Indonesia.

Turkish citizens who previously visited Bali had to pay a visa on arrival. By the new regulation announced by the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara, special (green) and ordinary (bordo) passport holders will be allowed entry for up to 30 days without paying any visa or making an official application, provided that the passport has at least six months of validity and they have an outward or return flight ticket.

The policy is tourism-only, non-extendable, non-convertible to a work visa, and not used for journalistic purposes. The action is part of Indonesia's bigger travel reform plans and is a reciprocal step following the Türkiye visa-free access policy to Indonesians.

What This Means for Turkish Travelers—and Beyond
In recent years, Bali has also gained popularity among Turkish touristswith its tropical sceneries, low price, and numerous cultural festivals. To date in 2024 alone, nearly 50,000 Turkish citizens have arrived in Indonesia, and Bali is one of the leading destinations. The visa-free promotion should significantly expand that number in 2025 and beyondas travel continues to become more accessible.

This move also indicates greater global mobility and tourism demandamong Turks. Since more travel abroad is happening, even more Turks want to invest in vacation rental homes, digital nomad hubs, or lifestyle destinations abroad—making this policy shift important to real estate investors and travel market participants.

The Bigger Picture: Travel Freedom and Global Investment Trends
We closely monitor international travel policies at GainEstates that affect lifestyle trends and investment behavior. Visa easing, such as Indonesia's move towards Türkiye, likely leads to more demand for holiday homes, investment properties, and holiday rentals in sought-after locations.

Whether you are traveling to Bali, purchasing a villa in theMediterranean, or emigrating overseas with global real estate, travel access is at the heart of demand and opportunity. As more countries open up to Turkish travelers, the global property market remains more attractive.
